Each group session lasts up to 90 mins. Maximum number of attendees = 20 and the reason is that it makes it more affordable for you. The energy and dynamics of the groups can be more powerful for some people than one-to-one consultation.

Why do people smoke?
Your unconscious mind is tremendously powerful and spends a lot of time automating as much as it can to make your life as easy as possible. Patterns of behaviour take a while to learn but once they are established your mind does it all for you on 'auto-pilot'. This can be extremely useful if the habit behaviour is something like judging the distance and speed of cars when crossing the road, but your unconscious mind can just as easily learn detrimental habits. Smoking is just a negative behaviour that your mind has learnt very well.

Why people don't Stop Smoking?
We all know that smoking harms our health - that stopping smoking will several thousands of pounds a year - that life expectancy increases once you've quit smoking - that your sense of smell and taste will improve - that you will breathe easier and you will be FREE of the smell, inconvenience, expense, mess and dependence of smoking.

So why do people continue? Because the root cause of the addiction FEAR

How can I become a non-smoker with hypnosis?
Perhaps you're scared about the dangers of smoking and cancer or your doctor has advised you to quit or you suffer with shortness of breath or lack of energy -- or whatever your motivation to be a happy non-smoker it can be so quick and easy to change habits of a lifetime with hypnosis. Our minds work on two levels - the conscious and unconscious. We make decisions, think and act with our conscious mind. The unconscious mind controls our habits. All habits are transferred from your conscious mind to your powerful unconscious from when you learned to walk - to writing - to smoking. Once you had achieved consciously it becomes stored in your unconscious. This part of your mind does not distinguish between a positive good habit ie walking or a negative bad habit ie smoking - it just stores them as processes and then protects them. It protects them for your safety otherwise you  might forget to walk when you're walking down a road. Your unconscious mind protects the learned process from conscious intervention, so in the relaxed state known as hypnosis we can communicate directly with your unconscious.

When we are born, we are born with an ability to tune into the body's needs and requirements. A baby cries when it is hungry, you feed it a bottle. Sometimes it drinks the whole bottle, sometimes it wants more than one bottle, sometimes it only drinks a small amount of the bottle and sometimes when you try and feed the baby it doesn't want the bottle. You see we are all born with an inborn reflex to listen to your bodies, but as we grow up we begin to lose this ability. We become toddlers and we are spoon-fed. Our parents may force us to eat by making games when we eat, planes, trains, soldiers, all kinds of strange and fun sounds. They praise us when we finish everything, reward us for being 'good' with sweets and make it better with our favourite biscuits. We begin to grow apart from our inborn normal eating reflexes. As we get older and take control of our eating, we are so used to using food as a reward, or as a comfort, that this trigger for eating is no longer hunger. We start rewarding ourselves, or comforting ourselves, just as our parents did before. And we STOP LISTENING TO OUR BODIES.

Our body is like a car but unlike the one in the garage or drive, it only ever has one engine. It needs a steady supply of the right fuel to work efficiently and if it doesn't get that, it simply wears out. We all have to eat, as our bodies are in fact, very complex  machines, which require fuel in order to function. We require energy to be active and, in the same way a car burns either petrol or diesel as fuel, we 'burn' food. When our car is burning too much fuel we quickly tackle the problem. After all, it costs money to fill the tank. Excessive fuel consumption means that the engine is consuming too much fuel for the amount of power that it returns. The excess fuel cannot be burned efficiently, and so ends up as thick carbon deposits, which gum up the works, and reduce the effectiveness and life of the engine. In the same way, if we overload our engine with more food than it needs and/or use the wrong types of fuel, then our performance will be affected. We will build up deposits of unburned fuel in the form of body fat and life expectancy will be reduced as we place extra loading upon it.

Why diets don't work

  • Diets may work in the short term but long term 95% of dieters regain weight and often more

  • Dieting makes you think of growing hungry and giving up

  • Diets focus your mind on the very thing you are trying to control- - food & the "wrong" ones at that

  • Diets can become "all consuming" in that you are likely to obsess on 'what or when can I eat next'

  • Weight watching, calorie counting, weigh-ins & weigh-ups, weighing scales, measuring tapes can perpetuate feelings of deprivation and sacrifice.
     

How can hypnosis help me to lose weight?
More than a decade of controlled scientific studies and analytical reviews show that hypnotherapy, in conjunction with proper exercise and nutrition, can enhance weight reduction and help keep the weight off longer. A review of studies published in leading medical journals between 1985 and 1998 offers compelling evidence that hypnotherapy  is the added ingredient that helps people stay on track with weight control.

  • Unlike most programmes, which focus only on diet and exerise, hypnotherapy might include suggestions for ego strengthening, decision making, stress management, self soothing, mental rehearsal and enhances motivation - all of which are helpful in successful weight management.
